How To Use the Open AI Detection Tool?
A
new tool to identify between writing produced by AI and human authors has been
made available by OpenAI, the AI research company that created ChatGPT.
Although it's hard to identify AI-authored language with 100% accuracy, OpenAI
thinks their new tool can assist to reduce unfounded accusations that content
created by AI was written by humans. According to OpenAI, their new AI Text
Classifier can restrict the use of chatbots to pose as real people, operate automated
disinformation campaigns and commit academic fraud. When put to the test on a
collection of English texts, the programme properly identified AI-written texts
26% of the time. Yet it also incorrectly believed that 9% of all material
authored by humans was actually written by AI.
How it works?
Users
copy a passage of text into a box and the software determines how likely it is
that the content was produced by an open AI detection tool
system. It performs noticeably lower in other languages and works best on text
samples longer than 1,000 words. Moreover, it is useless to differentiate
between AI and human-written code.
Between the
lines
OpenAI
stated that it is considering further strategies to make it easier for readers
to identify writing produced by AI from text produced by humans such as the use
of watermarks in works made by its AI
content detector. Several businesses, groups and people are developing
similar techniques to identify material produced by AI.
Purpose of AI
detection tool
Similar
to how Google predicts the possibility of specific words and phrases in
material, open AI detection tool
technologies operate by utilizing a language model. Our goal is to make sure
that all of humankind benefits from artificial general intelligence AI systems
that are typically smarter than people.
